Please note that fees are invoiced at the beginning of each month for a 4 or 5 week period depending on the length of the month. Fees are payable by Direct Debit only. Please contact the Centre Coordinator for our fee schedule.
Child Care Benefit (CCB)
Brighton ELC and Brighton Beach ELC are registered as providers under the Child Care Management System (“CCMS”). Under CCMS, the Federal Government provides us with each family’s approval details directly. All families must be registered with the Family Assistance Office.
There are two ways to receive the CCB subsidy.
1. Claim as you pay. In this case your CCB entitlement is deducted from the daily fee you pay to us. This will be clearly shown on your monthly invoice. We then collect the CCB subsidy on your behalf from the Family Assistance Office.
2. Lump sum. You may elect to pay the full daily fee to the centre. You can then claim a lump sum refund, through the Family Assistance Office quarterly or at the end of each financial year.
Child Care Rebate (CCR)
The Child Care Rebate (CCR) provides eligible families with a 50% rebate of their out-of-pocket child care fees, to a maximum of $7,500 per child per annum. 50% of the total fees are paid after deducting the CCB or JET subsidy.
This rebate is not means tested, and all eligible families are entitled to receive this, even if their CCB % rate is zero. CCR can also be paid to us directly – just select the option ‘pay to service’.
Further information as well as the eligibility details can be found on the Family Assistance Office website.
